HIV Medicine Association (HIVMA) Minority Clinical Fellowship Program
http://www.hivma.org The HIV Medicine Association is pleased to announce a new Minority Clinical Fellowship Program Minority Clinical Fellowship, designed to provide clinical training and experience to physicians from some of the most-affected communities to support their entry into the field of HIV care. Strengthening the future HIV workforce is an important goal of HIVMA, and this fellowship will help to further that goal by offering African American and Latino physicians opportunities to work with HIVMA mentors at institutions with large minority populations where they will continuously manage patients with HIV/AIDS in inpatient and outpatient settings. The Fellowships will provide each recipient with a salary plus benefits for one year, as well as financial support for the sponsoring institution and mentor. Applicants will work with HIVMA mentors at institutions with large minority populations where they will continuously manage HIV-positive inpatients and outpatients. The deadline to apply for the two fellowships beginning in July 2007 is February 15, 2007. Interested applicants are encouraged to visit our website at www.hivma.org or click here for more information and application instructions. Institutions interested in sponsoring an applicant, or individuals interested in obtaining fellowship brochures, ad copy or additional information about the fellowship, may contact Jennifer Rainey at jrainey@idsociety.org. © Copyright 2007.
