  • December 23, 2009: The latest version of the International AIDS Society–USA drug resistance mutations list is now available! The article, “Update of the Drug Resistance Mutations in HIV-1: December 2009” appears in the December 2009 issue of Topics in HIV Medicine, and via e-publication here in advance of print.   • December 15, 2009: A major update of one of our most comprehensive Cases on the Web activities, HIV-Related Renal Disease, by Christina M. Wyatt, MD, and Lynda Anne Szczech, MD, MSCE, FASN, is now available! This advanced-level presentation advocates a proactive approach to screening for kidney disease to allow earlier treatment and to increase the likelihood of better outcomes for HIV-infected patients with renal complications.

  • July 8, 2009: A correction has been posted in Topics in HIV Medicine 16(2):94-98, in the article “HIV-Associated Neurocognitive Disease Continues in the Antiretroviral Era.” On page 96, Table 3, ritonavir-boosted atazanavir was incorrectly categorized in the higher (1) category of central nervous system penetration rather than the intermediate (0.5) category. The correction is explained in a Letter to the Editor in the upcoming issue of Topics in HIV Medicine, Volume 17, Issue 3, due out later this summer.

  • July 1, 2009: Our latest COW activity, End-Stage Renal Disease in the HIV-Infected Patient, by Christina M. Wyatt, MD, is available! This expertly developed presentation discusses current recommendations for the screening and management of chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease in HIV-infected patients.

  • Annual 2009 HIV Clinical Conference for the Ryan White Program: IAS-USA was awarded the contract on June 25th and is coordinating with HRSA/HAB to secure the location and finalize the meeting dates for the Fall (October or early November) of 2009. Note: previously listed August dates are NOT being considered for this meeting. Details will be emailed to grantees as soon as they become available.

  • June 25, 2009: Our latest Cases on the Web activity, Pregnancy Planning and Preconception Health Care for HIV-Infected Individuals and Couples, by Erika Aaron, MSN, CRNP, and Shannon M. Criniti, MPH, is available! This activity discusses a comprehensive preconception plan of health care for HIV-infected women of child-bearing age and promoting safer conception in HIV-infected women and serodiscordant couples who desire pregnancy.
