RYAN WHITE CARE ACT
TITLE I, II, III, AND IV GRANTEES



Overview

The 7th Annual Clinical Conference for practitioners will be held in conjunction with the 2004 Ryan White CARE Act (RWCA) Grantee Conference: Putting It All Together.

The goal of the Clinical Conference is to provide a comprehensive overview of current clinical issues in HIV management and current strategies in HIV care for practitioners in RWCA Title I, II, III, and IV funded programs. This state-of-the-art Continuing Medical Education (CME) program will include didactic lectures and interactive workshops.

The Clinical Conference is co-chaired by Laura W. Cheever, MD, ScM; Michael S. Saag, MD; and David Spach, MD. It is sponsored by the International AIDS Society-USA (IAS-USA) and funded by the HIV/AIDS Bureau, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the US Department of Health and Human Services. This activity has been approved for AMA PRA credit. The National Resource Center is a co-provider of this conference.

Accreditation

The International AIDS Society–USA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

The International AIDS Society–USA designates this educational activity for a maximum of 13.25 hours in category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

The Pennsylvania/MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center is an approved provider of continuing education by the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This activity qualifies for 16 contact hours.

This program has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 13.25 prescribed credit hours by the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Who Should Attend

The Clinical Conference is designed for RWCA Title I, II, III, and IV physicians, physician assistants, or nurse practitioners who provide services in RWCA programs and are involved in direct HIV patient care. The Clinical Conference is open to any registrant of the Grantee Conference.

To register for the Clinical Conference, indicate on the Grantee Conference online registration form that you will be attending the Clinical Conference. The registration form is available at www.psava.com/rwca2004. Upon arrival, Clinical Conference attendees must check-in for both the Grantee Conference and the Clinical Conference. The Clinical Conference check-in will be located at the CME desk in the Cotillion Ballroom foyer. Attendees will receive their course materials and sign-in for CME credits at check-in.
