As part of our evolving mission to address viruses in addition to HIV, the IAS–USA has created both a full-day CME course and an intensive new workshop series to focus on new research in preparation for emerging management strategies in viral hepatitis infections and the opportunity to learn from experts, discuss your own clinical cases, and contribute your own expertise. Rapid advances in treatment are expected with the introduction of direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) to the HCV treatment paradigm. Studies project a large increase in the number of patients requiring HCV treatment in the near future, and we are entering an exciting new era in HCV care. We invite clinicians who are expert in the complexities of HIV antiretroviral management to join their hepatology and gastroenterology colleagues in providing care for these patients. New York, NY 2012 Half-Day Intensive Viral Hepatitis Workshops These intensive half-day workshops are limited to 35 clinicians (physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners). These small-group interactive workshops are designed to improve clinical management of people infected with HCV. The workshops will address the following issues:
