Newly Released IAS-USA HIV Treatment and Prevention Guidelines

Today, the Journal of the American Medical Association released the electronic version of Antiretroviral Drugs for Treatment and Prevention of HIV Infection in Adults: 2020 Recommendations of the International Antiviral Society–USA Panel.

This JAMA Special Communication includes new recommendations on initiating and changing antiretroviral therapy and the use of preexposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to prevent infection, prepared by a volunteer panel of international experts in HIV research and care.  Included is a new section on recommendations for older individuals with HIV.
