The 2022 IAS–USA HIV Treatment and Prevention Guidelines are Now Published

Today, on World AIDS Day, the Antiretroviral Drugs for Treatment and Prevention of HIV Infection in Adults: 2022 Recommendations of the International Antiviral Society–USA Panel was published electronically by the Journal of the American Medical Association.

The 2022 iteration includes updated recommendations on initiating and changing antiretroviral therapy,  prevention of HIV infection, and comorbidities in the setting of antiretroviral therapy. New sections include substance use disorder recommendations and new and emerging coinfections such as MPOX.
