They discuss the prevalence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) among people with HIV and explore the effectiveness of the GLP-1 receptor agonist semaglutide, commonly used to treat diabetes and aid in weight loss, to treat NAFLD. Future areas of research are considered, including maintenance strategies post-weight loss and a placebo-controlled version of the study.
