How do I know if I am eligible to attend?

This conference is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other key clinical decision makers in RWHAP-funded clinics and programs who are experienced in HIV patient management. This technical conference will provide state-of-the art research, care, and treatment updates as well as a unique learning opportunity afforded by the collective collaboration of the HIV practitioner community. A limited number of spots are reserved for registered nurses and pharmacists who are the primary clinical decision makers in their RWHAP-funded clinic or program.

How does the registration application process work for the 2018 CLINICAL CONFERENCE at the National Ryan White Conference on HIV Care and Treatment?

If I am registered for the CLINICAL CONFERENCE, do I also need to register for the National Ryan White Conference on HIV Care and Treatment?

You can register for the CLINICAL CONFERENCE and/or the National Ryan White Conference.

Is there a registration fee?

There is no registration fee to attend. Attendees are responsible for their transportation expenses to and from Washington, DC, hotel stay costs, meals, and all other expenses. Please consult with your RWHAP Project Officer if you have any questions regarding expenses covered by your RWHAP award.

I’m unable to attend, how do I cancel?

Can you confirm I am registered for the National Conference?

To confirm your registration or if you have any questions with regard to the National Ryan White Conference, you may contact the National Conference.

CME Credits or Certificate of Participation

How do I claim CME credits and/or ABIM MOC Points?

You must have an ABIM ID number to earn ABIM MOC points. This is a 6-digit number issued by ABIM. Be sure to include that number and your date of birth on your IAS–USA profile page.

  1. Log in to your IAS–USA account.
  2. Hover over your name and click My Activities.
  3. Find the relevant activity in the table and, in the far-right column, click on the gray sunburst icon.
  4. Complete the evaluation.
  5. When you get to the end of the evaluation, click Submit Form. Click Take the CME/ABIM MOC posttest to start the test. Note: Be sure to indicate whether you will be claiming ABIM MOC points, which will require a passing grade of 70%.
  6. After completing the posttest, you will be directed to the online claim form, where, once logged in, you will enter the requested information and then click Submit.
  7. FINAL STEP: Answer “Yes” to the question “Are you a licensed physician.” A certificate will then be available for you to print. You can also view your certificate from your IAS–USA account under My Activities. Find the relevant activity in the table and, in the farright column, click on the green sunburst icon to print your certificate. Submit the claim form no later than 30 days after the date of the activity.
 
ABIM MOC points are intended for internal medicine physicians in the United States who are maintaining their ABIM certification. The points will only be awarded after the successful completion of the posttest. The ABIM will upload the points to your member account after 30 days and notify you by email when it has done so.

How do I claim Pharmacy Credits?

  1. Log in to your IAS–USA account.
  2. Hover over your name and click My Activities.
  3. Find the relevant activity in the table and, in the far-right column, click on the gray sunburst icon.
  4. Complete the evaluation.
  5. When you get to the end of the evaluation, click Submit Form.
  6. You will be directed to the online claim form, where, once logged in, you will click Submit.
  7. FINAL STEP: Once you click Submit, answer “No” to the question Are you a licensed physician. A certificate will then be available for you to print. You can also view your certificate from your IAS–USA account under My Activities. Find the relevant activity in the table and, in the far-right column, click on the green sunburst icon to print your certificate. Submit the claim form no later than 30 days after the date of the activity.
 
We work with Educational Review Systems to deliver credit to pharmacy professionals, and your credits will be posted to your NABP CPE profile directly from that organization.

Travel and Accommodations

Are there blocked rooms available?

Please be aware that the Gaylord National Hotel and Conference Center is at capacity. Click here for a list of other conveniently located hotels within the National Harbor area. If you already have a reservation for the National Conference dates and need to add on the CLINICAL CONFERENCE dates, go ahead and book those dates outside of the block and the hotel will merge your reservations.

What is the best way to get to the meeting?

Attendees are responsible for their transportation expenses to and from Washington, DC, hotel stay costs, meals, and all other expenses.

Will there be parking space available?

Yes, there are several parking garages located in National Harbor. The 2 closest are: Mariner Garage (164 Mariner Street) and SP+ Parking (251 Mariner Passage).

What is the closest airport to the convention center?

The two closest airports are the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), located 8 miles from the convention center, and the Dulles International Airport (IAD), located 35 miles from the convention center.

Workshops

How do I sign up for the workshops?

Workshop preregistration is closed. If you wish to attend a workshop for which you have not registered, please talk with a Conference staff member at the relevant room at the start of the workshop.

Webcasts

Will the plenary lectures and workshop presentations be recorded?

Webcasts and podcasts of the plenary lectures will be available within 10 business days following the conclusion of the conference. Workshops presentations will not be recorded.
