This webinar will review updated recommendations for the prevention and treatment of HIV infection in adults, as published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. The recommendations were developed by a volunteer IAS-USA panel of international experts in HIV research and patient care. They update the 2016 guidelines with new findings, drugs, therapeutic approaches, and data for clinicians.

On completion of this webinar, learners will be able to:

• Summarize new IAS–USA guidelines on antiretroviral approaches for the treatment and prevention of HIV infection
• Apply the new guidelines to preexposure prophylaxis, initial therapy, and managing treatment failure in HIV infection

This webinar is designed for physicians who are actively treating or will be treating patients with HIV infection.

This activity is also relevant for registered nurses, PharmDs, and other health professionals.
