Assessment of Needs
The COVID-19 pandemic has created an unprecedented disruption in life as we know it, affecting not only the public health of communities worldwide but our economic and social wellbeing.
Similar to some 40 years ago, the global HIV community of advocates and activists are leading the charge in the grassroots community response against this devastating new pandemic. Our accumulated experience and skills will be the key to finding solutions and providing support to those who are the most overlooked and affected among us.
The COVID Advocates Advisory Board is a group of civil society organizations and global health advocates committed to bringing communities together and, by gleaning insight from HIV activism, setting the path toward resolving the inequities that COVID-19 has exacerbated.
This session brings together the experience of fierce HIV and COVID-19 advocates from grassroots organizations around the globe with shared and vital goals of learning from one another, defining best practices, valuing the role of communities, and demanding accountability in the fight for equity in the global COVID-19 response. We invite you to join us for a robust, interactive discussion on these topics.

Who Should Attend
This webinar is designed for clinical decision makers and community members who are actively involved in HIV and COVID-19 care, research, and advocacy.
This activity is also relevant for nursing professionals, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other health care professionals.
Conflicts of Interest
In the interest of maintaining the independence of its CME activities, and in accordance with the policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the IAS–USA requires all persons with control of content (eg, faculty, IAS–USA Board members, and program staff) to disclose any financial relationships that they or their spouses or partners have had with commercial companies within the past 12 months. Any real or apparent conflicts of interest of those parties are resolved prior to the CME activity being delivered. Individuals who refuse to disclose financial interests may not participate in an IAS–USA CME activity.
The ACCME defines ineligible companies as those whose primary business is producing, marketing, selling, re-selling, or distributing healthcare products used by or on patients.

The International Antiviral Society–USA (IAS–USA) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The IAS–USA designates this enduring material for a maximum of 1.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
