Assessment of Needs

The IAS–USA offers this state-of-the-art activity on the evolving challenges of managing HIV disease as part of a nationwide continuing medical education (CME) effort for physicians. This webinar will summarize the most recent and clinically relevant information to be presented at the 2017 Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections held in Seattle, Washington, in February. This overview will include updates on antiretroviral therapy and investigational antiretroviral drugs. The most up-to-date data on HIV drug resistance, HIV prevention, and national and global epidemiology will be discussed during this webinar. New data on comorbidities and coinfections such as tuberculosis and hepatitis C virus infection will also be discussed.

At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

• Describe the newest data on antiretroviral therapy
• Name trends in HIV drug resistance
• Interpolate the most recent data into clinical practice

Who Should Attend

This webinar is designed for clinicians who have solid, working knowledge of HIV transmission, screening, and management, and who are actively treating patients with HIV infection.

This activity is also relevant for other practitioners, including nurse practitioners and other nursing professionals, physician assistants, and pharmacists.

Individual registration is required, even if you are viewing as a group, in order to receive CME credit or a certificate of participation.
