Program Description

The IAS–USA Dialogues bring together leading experts to discuss what the data and research are telling us about the basic science, public health, and clinical aspects of COVID-19 and the consequences of the pandemic.

This Dialogue will provide a robust and relevant discussion of urgent virus outbreaks, particularly COVID-19 and monkeypox at the time, including:

  • COVID-19 Bivalent COVID-19 booster and who should be prioritized; will we get to a single annual COVID-19 vaccine; how do COVID-19 death rates compare to flu; and status of new COVID-19 treatment trials
  • Monkeypox (MPX) Current trend in MPX cases; MPX vaccine status: who and which vaccine; new MPX vaccine development; and are there cases outside of MSM groups, including children
  • Polio Trend in polio cases; cases of significant neurologic disease; and polio vaccine recommendation
  • Flu How good is this year’s flu vaccine; will we see an mRNA flu vaccine; current suggestions for diagnostic testing; and flu treatment: who, what, and when

Note, Dialogues are intended for healthcare clinicians and researchers.
