Program Description
The IAS–USA Dialogues bring together leading experts to discuss what the data and research are telling us about the basic science, public health, and clinical aspects of COVID-19 and the consequences of the pandemic.
This Dialogue will provide a robust and relevant discussion of urgent virus outbreaks, particularly COVID-19, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and influenza, at the time.
- COVID-19: Discuss the latest epidemiology data on the XBB, BQ1, and BQ1.1 variants of COVID-19; updates on new COVID-19 vaccines and bivalent boosters; growing issue of long-COVID; public health interventions and the need to reinstitute prior mandates; and the problem of misinformation, including the concept of “immunity debt”
- RSV: Update on RSV in both pediatrics and adults; information on medication shortages; and current status and data on RSV vaccines awaiting FDA approval
- Influenza: Latest epidemiology data on influenza and compare it to recent years; update on the influenza vaccine; and importance of diagnosing and treating influenza
Note, Dialogues are intended for healthcare clinicians and researchers.
