The IAS–USA offers this state-of-the-art activity on the evolving challenges of managing HIV disease as part of a nationwide continuing medical education (CME) effort for physicians.

Transgender and gender diverse people have disparate rates of HIV infection compared with cisgender populations due to a combination of structural, individual, interpersonal, biologic, and network factors. This presentation will review recent epidemiologic data related to HIV in transgender populations and describe current and evolving strategies to improve HIV prevention and care, including the effects of gender-affirming care on ART and HIV outcomes.

Update: This webinar will include information regarding gender-affirming therapy and data presented at AIDS 2020. Additionally, this webinar has been extended to 90 minutes.

The ACCME does not consider providers of clinical service directly to patients to be commercial interests – unless the provider of clinical service is owned, or controlled by, an ACCME-defined commercial interest.”
